Celtic star Liel Abada 'will be sold in the summer to the Premier League' claims former club chief

Liel Abada rejected a contract extension at Celtic and wants to be SOLD in the summer - according to his former president at Maccabi Petah Tikva.

Club chief Avi Luzon made the astonishing claim as part of a wide-ranging interview with One Sport and he also said talks took place in the January window but he didn't want to leave. Ange Postecoglou swooped to land the Israeli in a reported £3.5million deal and he has quickly taken to life in Glasgow's fishbowl.

Since his arrival at Celtic, the 21-year-old has scored 27 goals and provided 18 assists in just 95 appearances in all competitions. He's tasted Champions League football including two outings against powerhouse Real Madrid while he could end the season as a Treble winner after the first of three fronts was bagged with a League Cup Final win over Rangers. Last season he won a Premiership winners' medal and another League Cup success.

The fans' favourite still has three years to run on his current terms at Parkhead, but Luzon claims there is a 90 per cent chance that he will move to the riches of the English Premier League this summer. Respected transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claimed late last year that EPL clubs are following the talented attacker and now his former club chief believes a move is almost certain to happen having rejected the chance to go during the winter window.

Speaking in an interview with One Sport, he claimed: "I believe he will be sold in the summer to the Premier League. There were talks already in the last window, but he didn't want to be sold.

"They offered him a contract extension and I know he didn't agree, because he wants to be sold. I don't know the names of teams, but there are offers and I believe at a probability level of over 90% that he will move to the Premier League in the summer.

"I hope that he will continue to score goals until the end of the season and then he will be sold for sure."
