Kyogo Furuhashi has been backed to be 'strong' in the Champions League next season.
Celtic are on course for a second successive group stage bid with Ange Postecoglou's men sitting nine points clear of Rangers in the race for the Scottish Premiership title. They still have to face Michael Beale's men twice in the final nine games - but have only lost out on one occasion in the top flight this season.
The Hoops played in the tournament proper of Europe's elite competition this season and earned plaudits but ultimately finished bottom of their section without a win. Big chances missed proved to be a common theme in the six games with Kyogo drawing a blank in the competition, despite hitting a whopping 26 goals in all competitions so far this campaign.

The prolific striker hasn't reached the heights of club hero Henrik Larsson but has been handed some comparisons due to his red-hot form.
Asked if he agrees with liking Kyogo to Larsson, McAvennie told Football Insider: “He has got the same sharpness, the same pace, the same composure.
“I think next year he will do it in the Champions League. That is where you have got to do it. He has missed a couple of chances but I have got a feeling he is going to be strong in it.
“He just wants to learn. His movement is different class which is great for the midfielders.
"Players do not know whether to go to him which creates space in the midfield, that is why it is working.“
