Daizen Maeda admits he's got World Cup fever and the Celtic hero has targeted an opening game win for Japan against the Netherlands.
The 28-year-old is going into the tournament in red-hot form after nine goals in his last seven games for Celtic to help them to an unexpected league and cup double.
Maeda arrived in Monterrey with the Japanese squad and admitted it will take him some time to get used to the heat and humidity compared to Glasgow.
He said: "We have received a brilliant welcome here and I am very excited about the World Cup now, as everyone in Mexico seems to be too.
"I can already feel the World Cup atmosphere in Monterrey.

"Of course, the heat will be a challenge, but I like it.
"Our ultimate aim is to win the World Cup and we believe we can get off to a winning start against the Netherlands.

"We need to adapt to the high temperatures and this will be excellent preparation."
