David Turnbull will leave the Scotland camp with Steve Clarke set make a couple of call-ups for the clashes with Republic of Ireland and the Ukraine return.
The Celtic midfielder will head back to his club side with an ankle injury sustained in the defeat to St Mirren in Paisley. The hope was the issue would clear up quickly, however, that hasn't been the case and he will now drop out of the squad for the next two games.
It is another blow for the Scotland boss to contend with following the injury to former Rangers kid Nathan Patterson in the first period at Hampden which result in him being stretchered off. The youngster has been flying at Everton this season after becoming a key man under Frank Lampard and playing every single minute of their English Premier League campaign to date.
In the build-up to the triple-header Rangers No1 Jon McLaughlin was ruled out alongside Grant Hanley and Jacob Brown with Robby McCrorie called-up.

On Turnbull's situation, Clarke said: "(Will you call anyone else up?) We'll go away and have a little chat about it. David Turnbull will pull out the squad, he picked up an ankle knock at the weekend we thought would clear up.
"It's not going to clear up in time for this so he's better to go back to his club and get ready for their next game. Two players light, I'll probably need to call at least one, maybe two players."
Speaking about Patterson, he added: "It doesn't look too good when he goes off on a stretcher. He obviously felt something on his leg, we'll just wait and see what the medics say and how it pans out. Hopefully, it's not too serious and hopefully he's not out too long."
Goals from John McGinn and a Lyndon Dykes double from the bench secured a big 3-0 win and put the Nations League section in Scotland's hands. Clarke and Co will control their own destiny with two games to go after moving top of the section on nine points from four games.
