Celtic set for more Japanese attention as Asian TV deal 'centred' on Hoops in Land of Rising Sun announced

A new Premiership TV deal has been secured over in Japan - with Celtic very much at the centre of it.

SPOTVNOW, Japan's new Premier League streamer, have announced it has picked up rights to show Scottish Premiership matches. They will deliver 38 games over the entire season with a large emphasis put on showing Celtic matches. Since boss Ange Postecoglou arrived from J-League club Yokohama Marinos, he has brought with him several stars from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Kyogo Furuhashi was the first from Vissel Kobe and he delighted fans in a debut season that saw him become a firm Hoops hero, despite missing four months of it through injury. Six months later, Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi all joined him to make it four Japanese players at Parkhead. They won the title together in May after a triumphant first season in charge for Postecoglou at Celtic.
