Celtic, Rangers and Hearts to face UEFA mandated 'moment of silence'

A 'moment of silence' will take place before each game involving Celtic, Rangers and Hearts this midweek.

UEFA will instruct clubs to hold the silence as a mark of respect in memory of the victims of the fatal flooding in Valencia, Spain last week.

Celtic host German giants RB Leipzig at Celtic Park tomorrow evening.

Rangers are in Greece to face Olympiacos on Thursday night, meanwhile, Hearts are due to host Bundesliga outfit Heidenheim at Tynecastle on the same day.

A short statement from European football's governing body reads: "UEFA will hold a moment of silence at all UEFA club competition matches this week in memory of the victims of the deadly floods in Valencia and all those impacted in the region and beyond."
