Celtic have restored their four point lead over title rivals Rangers at the top of the Premiership with victory over Livingston.
Kyogo Furuhashi's stunner with less than ten minutes on the clock, Greg Taylor's thunderbolt and a strike from the returning Jota secured the points as Ange Postecoglou's men overcame the tough task that the Tony Macaroni Arena offers all visiting teams. The pressure was put on after Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men battered Aberdeen 4-1 at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon but the champions came up with the answers required.
Now it is the small task of facing Champions League holders Real Madrid in the Bernabeu in what is a dead-rubber for the Hoops but one the players and management will want to all experience and win as they bid to end their return to Europe's top table on a high, and what a stage to do just that. Here is how we rated the Hoops in their away win in West Lothian.
Joe Hart - 6
Quiet afternoon for the Celtic No1. Will be much busier midweek at the Bernabeu vs Real Madrid.
Anthony Ralston - 6
Back in the side again with Josip Juranovic rested. Always making the overlapping run. Fourth Premiership start in a row at right-back with the Croatian on the bench.
Cameron Carter-Vickers - 6
Big physical battle with Joel Nouble who is always a handful. Booked after 26 minutes. Gave him a lot to think about with the little service the Livingston front man received from his team.
Moritz Jenz - 6
Continuing his partnership with Carter-Vickers at the heart of the defence. Solid enough display again. Carl Starfelt is back in training and will be pushing to get his spot back. Booked.
Greg Taylor - 8
100th appearance for Celtic at the Tony Macaroni Arena. Constantly up and down the park and assisted Kyogo's opener before a fantastic strike of his own to secure the points.
Aaron Mooy - 6
Continues to pick up crucial minutes with the World Cup on the horizon. Third Premiership start on the bounce.
Matt O'Riley - 6
A quieter afternoon for the wanted Bhoy. Lots of talk over interest down south. In the Callum McGregor role once again. Plenty football of late with a big one at Real Madrid to come midweek.
Reo Hatate - 7
Really makes the midfield tick. Excellent skills and passing range. Another impressive runout.
James Forrest - 6
Four goals in his last two Premiership outings before this one. Starting to rediscover his best form. Always a threat. Inches away from another goal.
Sead Haksabanovic - 6
Direct runner at opponents . Always looking to get Celtic moving forward. Sent in a few dangerous crosses.
Kyogo Furuhashi - 7
Back in the goals. First chance of the game was a rocket into the roof of the net. Goal nine of the season to date. Could be the strike that gives him that spark once again.
David Turnbull - 4
On for final 23 minutes. Continues recovery from injury setback.
Liel Abada 4
Will be hoping for a start on the biggest of stage midweek. A constant threat going forward. Times runs to perfection. Not enough time to make a big impact.
Giorgois Giakoumakis - 3
Scored midweek against Shakhtar Donestk. Missed from the penalty spot just minutes after coming off the bench.
Jota - 6
A welcomed sight for the Hoops faithful. On for the final 11 minutes from his injury lay-off. Tricks and flicks instantly won a penalty for the Hoops but Giakoumakis fired against the post. Marked return with a goal.
Oliver Abildgaard -3
Still finding his feet at Celtic but another appearance and minutes under the belt for the loanee.
