Internacional have sent a final take-it-or-leave-it loan offer to Celtic for their star man Alexandro Bernabei - with Palmeiras waiting to pounce.
The Argentinian enjoyed an excellent season and was named in the Brazilian Serie A Team of the Year at left back.
Internacional's original loan agreement had a clause in it where they could buy the 24-year-old if they met Celtic's release clause of around £7 million before the end of this month.
However, they have given up trying to raise that amount and have instead submitted another loan offer in the hope Celtic will accept.

According to reports in Brazil, though, the Porto Alegre club are 'not optimistic' that Celtic will agree to another loan and they have resigned themselves to Bernabei not returning.
Big-spending Sao Paulo giants Palmeiras are waiting for the deadline to pass before making their move.
They are owned by Brazilian businesswoman Leila Pereira, who was named as in the top ten richest people in the South American country and bankrolls the club.
And they would have no problem finding the funds to land Bernabei.
