Kwon has been involved for his country at youth level but could now make his bow in the A squad.
Korea first face Jordan on October 10 before taking on Iraq on October 15.
Kwon, 23, has played four times for Hibs so far this season after sealing a loan switch to David Gray's side.

It comes after the midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at St Mirren.
Kwon has been named on the bench for Celtic on a handful of occasions but has not been played a minute of competitive action for the Parkhead club.
Hibs boss Gray said of signing Kwon: “Hyeokkyu provides us with another option in midfield being able to play as both a deeper 6 and as an 8.
“As a player, he’s a great athlete, he’s very competitive, and comfortable on the ball. He showed these capabilities during an impressive loan spell last season.
“We’re delighted to bring him to the Club and look forward to working with him.”
