With only the play-offs remaining in the EFL season, attention is already turning to the next campaign. Managers and players are already on the move.
For Bristol Rovers, things are on hold with the players and staff enjoying a deserved end-of-season getaway to Dubai after their heroics on the final day to clinch promotion to League One.
An immediate return to the third tier lifts Rovers to the same level as big clubs, and the wheels are already in motion at several of next season's rivals as they hope to get a head start on the competition.
Here are the latest League One headlines...
Celtic legend to land Fleetwood job
An eye-catching name is set to be added to the list of League One managers for next season with Celtic hero Scott Brown set to be named Fleetwood Town manager this week, according to reports.
The print edition of the Daily Mail reports the former Scotland international, who announced his playing retirement last week, will take charge at Highbury Stadium after interim manager Stephen Crainey was returned to his role as under-23s boss.
Brown's coaching career began this season in a player-assistant-manager capacity at Aberdeen under boss Stephen Glass, but Brown followed Glass out of the door in March.
The 36-year-old earned 55 Scotland caps and played more than 600 times for Celtic from 2007-2021, winning 10 league titles.
FGR braced for blow after promotion
Pundits have tipped League Two champions Forest Green Rovers for a tricky summer with star players and their manager possibly in demand, and that appears to be the case.
The Athletic (subscription required) reports FGR's impressive head coach Rob Edwards is in advanced talks to take charge at already-relegated Premier League side Watford.
Former England boss Roy Hodgson has already confirmed he will leave Vicarage Road at the end of the campaign, and Edwards, aged 39, is the man line up to replace him after negotiations with Queens Park Rangers assistant John Eustace broke down.
Former Gas striker to head north of the border
Rovers will not be reunited with former striker Jonah Ayunga next season with the striker set to move to the Scottish Premiership.
That is according to the Daily Record, which reports Agunga is leaving Morecambe and heading to St Mirren. Former Morecambe boss Stephen Robinson is in charge of the Paisley club, and he was the man who signed Ayunga from Rovers last summer.
Ayunga, who scored three goals in 35 games in all competitions for Rovers in his one season with the club, netted six times for the Shrimps in League One last season, but he was transfer-listed by manager Derek Adams earlier this month.
Portsmouth interested in Tottenham striker
The Portsmouth News reports Pompey manager Danny Cowley hopes to add Tottenham Hotspur youngster Kion Etete to his frontline next season.
The 20-year-old has spent time on loan at Northampton Town and Cheltenham Town this season, and the target man could be loaned out again.
Etete scored nine goals and added five assists across 36 appearances for both clubs this season, but it is his 6ft 6in frame that makes him an intriguing prospect for managers hoping to add a physical edge to their attack.
Championship side Millwall have also been credited with an interest.
