Celtic have discovered who they will face in the Champions League group stage.
The Hoops have been drawn into Group F and will come up against Real Madrid, RB Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk. Ange Postecoglou enjoyed a whirlwind debut season in the big chair at Parkhead that ended in a domestic double. Wrestling back the Scottish Premiership title from Rangers earned direct entry to this stage of Europe's premier competition with Celtic now aiming to cause a few upsets along the way and show they belong here on a regular basis.
Parkhead is well known for it's red hot atmosphere under the lights with the players, fans and management team ready for the big occasion once again. The Scottish champions will have three home games and three on the road as part of the six game group make up with the top two reaching the knockout stages of the competition. Third place drops into the Europa League.
Speaking before the draw, the Hoops boss said: "It’s where this football club needs to be. I have a responsibility to make sure we are there and we are there to make an impact.
“No doubt when we see the draw there are going to be some exciting ties and some memorable occasions for everyone involved in this football club, whether you are a player or staff, manager or supporter.
"Celtic Park Champions League nights are unforgettable, so I’m looking forward to it.”
