Celtic injury latest for Rangers as Jota, Liel Abada and Reo Hatate update given by Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou has provided an injury update on key trio Jota, Reo Hatate and Liel Abada ahead of facing Rangers.

Celtic go into the Hampden showdown looking to keep their hopes of a domestic Treble alive and a win in Mount Florida would make them heavy favourites to do just that. The Hoops lifted the League Cup earlier this year at the national stadium after victory over Michael Beale's men. Premiership wise they hold a 13 point lead at the top with just 15 left to play for. That means a potential title party next time out for the league leaders at Tynecastle but that is all put to one side with the semi-final the main focus for now.

In 33 league games, the Parkhead outfit have dropped points in just three games. That includes a share of the points at home to Motherwell last time out as the champions lost their 100 per cent winning home record for the season. Postecoglou - like previous weeks - was without Jota, Abada and Hatate for that one, but it is much better news for the Hoops faithful this week following a full return to training all week the trio are IN for the big showdown.

Speaking to the media ahead of facing Rangers, Postecoglou explained: "From last week, everyone got through unscathed and Abada, Jota and Reo have trained all week so they are available. [James] Forrest is probably another week or so away.

"It's hugely beneficial for us as a group. I mean, even training this week has gone up a level because three more quality players have joined in training. All three boys have missed a bit recently and are itching to get involved.

"It certainly helps, not just with the starting XI but the ability to then go to the bench and impact the game.

"We obviously have training to go on Saturday and they need to get through that but they have had a strong week of training and I am really pleased they are available."
