Celtic are in negotiations over a transfer deal to sign World Cup star Haissem Hassan, according to a report.
It's claimed the Parkhead club have made the Egypt international a key transfer target in the summer window.
The winger, 24, is into the final year of his contract with Real Oviedo.
However, The Daily Record claim reports whicb suggest a deal has been agreed are wide of the mark.
Instead, it's stated that Celtic remain in negotiations to sign Hassan this summer.
After the friendly draw against AC Milan, Martin O'Neill confirmed Celtic are still searching for more summer acquisitions.
The Celtic boss confirmed progress on a record-breaking transfer to sign Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimt, but suggested he couldn't provide any update on efforts to sign Mika Baur.
"I don't know numerically speaking," said O'Neill on further incomings. "I think it's quality that we'll probably be looking for. And quality at the affordable prices is a real premium. But no, we are searching.
"We still think that we need some extra players in. But if he arrives, I think that's great for us to begin with. And I'm hoping that we might get one or two more, if that's the case.
"But there's a good fight on now for places in the team. And we'll just take it from there."
