Ange Postecoglou's Celtic side will reportedly take on a second Japanese friendly during their tour of Asia this summer.
The Premiership champions have signed a number of Japanese players since the former Yokohama F. Marinos leader was named boss in 2021, including Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda. They will travel to the Land of the Rising Sun this summer to continue their moves into the Asian market and it's claimed by The Japan Times that a second friendly match will likely take place on July 22, three days after facing Postecoglou's former club in Yokohama.
And there are some exciting names likely to be the frame. German champions Bayern Munich and Premier League kings Manchester City will also be in Japan at that time, although Pep Guardiola's Citizens play on July 23 against Yokohama and Bayern don't jet into the continent until two days later on the 24th, then staying until the start of August.
It is also claimed by reports in the far-east that four J League clubs could be in the mix. Kyogo's former side Vissel Kobe, Gamba Osaka, Reo Hatate's ex-club Kawasaki Frontale and Asian champions Urawa Red Diamonds have all been mentioned as possibilities. Celtic are also due in South Korea for a friendly with Wolves.
