Celtic fan Troy Parrott wants to win over Ange Postecoglou and stay with Tottenham next season.
Postecoglou led Celtic to the treble but parted ways with the Scottish giants to land the Spurs job on a four-year deal.
Striker Parrott, 22, has been with Tottenham since 2017 and has made four competitive first-team appearances, two of them in the Premier League.
But the Dubliner hasn’t played for Tottenham since an FA Cup clash with Norwich City in March 2020.
Since then, Ireland ace Parrott has had loan spells with Millwall, Ipswich Town, MK Dons and, this season, Preston North End.
But he feels ready to play a part in Postecoglou’s first-team plans and was back at Spurs last week training with their U21s.
Parrott has yet to speak with the Australian but at Ireland’s training base in Turkey last night, he said: “(His appointment) is only a recent thing.
“I’ll go back there in pre-season and try and show him what I can do. I want to play there, so, whatever steps I have to take to get there, I’m willing to do it.”
Parrott, who is flying to Greece with the Ireland squad today ahead of Friday’s Euro qualifier, added: ”I support Celtic and I’ve watched quite a few of their games.
“He seems like a good manager. It seems like he wants to play good attacking football so we’ll see what happens.”
