Celtic are "expected" to spend again if they secure a return to the Champions League, according to a new report.
The Scottish champions have already spent over £30 million this summer on Kasper Hogh, Camilo Duran, Haissem Hassan, and Mika Baur.
They take a 3-0 lead into their qualifying play-off second-leg tie against LASK, with progress set to shape their approach to the final week of the transfer window.
Champions League football guarantees around £40 million in prize money before a ball is kicked. Sky Sports has now reported that qualification would prompt Celtic to step up their recruitment plans.
Celtic made about £75 million from their European campaign two seasons ago. They are keen to replace Arne Engels and are targeting a box-to-box midfielder. Torino’s Gvidas Gineitis is understood to be a leading candidate should Celtic progress, but the Serie A side are believed to value the Lithuanian international at around £10 million.

The club have also opened talks with Slovan Liberec for a potential £8 million deal for attacking midfielder Ermin Mahmic. The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has been left out of the Czech club’s recent squads while negotiations continue.
A goalkeeper is another area Celtic aim to bolster, with Viljami Sinisalo currently the first choice. Conversations have been held over Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Balazs Toth, although no official offer has yet been made. IF Brommapojkarna’s Leo Cavallius is also on the list.
Alistair Johnston’s hamstring injury, which could sideline him for two months, has heightened the need for right-back cover. Hajduk Split’s Niko Sigur, capable of playing in that role, is also on the list of central-midfield targets, but the club will consider whether to opt for a more natural right-back.
Chelsea left-back Landon Emenalo is close to joining on a straight loan. The 18-year-old would cover for Kieran Tierney and is versatile enough to play further forward.
Celtic are also deciding whether a left winger is necessary before next Thursday’s deadline. Utrecht’s Adrian Blake is a prime target and is interested in a move.
