Celtic destroyed by Jason Cundy as shock jock brands them an embarrassment after racking up unwanted Champions League record

TalkSport loudmouth Jason Cundy has branded Celtic an “embarrassment” after they were dumped out of the Champions League by RB Leipzig.

Ange Postecoglou ’s side missed some big chances at Parkhead as they desperately sought to keep their hopes of progressing from Group F alive. Matt O’Riley and Greg Taylor hit the woodwork before the break while Kyogo went close with a header, but somehow the score remained golalles at the interval.

Celtic now hold the unwanted record of losing more consecutive Champions League matches than any other side. That’s now seven defeats on the bounce. “It’s not harsh. They must be embarrassed themselves, the Celtic fans. They must be. Come on, they get their chance. It’s not the toughest group in the world. Yes, you;ve got Real Madrid, but there are tougher groups put there. They're at home tonight getting humbled. When Timo Werner is scoring against you, you know things 'ain't right.”

When host Andy Goldstein defended Werner, pointing out that he was a good player, Cundy replied: “Well, you can say that…”
