Rangers’ 3-0 win over Celtic gave Ally McCoist the chance to tease Alan Brazil on air.
The Rangers legend and Celtic-supporting broadcaster were reunited on talkSPORT’s Breakfast Show on Wednesday morning, three days after Rangers’ win at Ibrox.
McCoist had said he had tried, without success, to contact his radio partner after Sunday’s derby defeat. Brazil faced jokes on air when the pair returned.
The former Rangers striker spoke first. McCoist said: “The nation up here has been worried sick, mate.”
Brazil said: “About me? Did I go missing, did I?”
McCoist compared his colleague with missing aristocrat Lord Lucan. McCoist said: “A bit of Lord Lucan, everybody’s been calling you Lord Lucan, mate.”

Brazil said: “Get off Shergar, will you? Get off your high horse. League Cup, who cares?”
McCoist added: “Somebody said you were having dinner with Lord Lucan last night.”
Brazil said: “Aye, well we’ll see where you go next Monday!”
The exchange followed Rangers’ 3-0 victory over Celtic in Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup quarter-final. Dan Neil and Kevin Kelsy scored as Derek McInnes’ side reached the semi-finals.
The teams will meet again this weekend in their first Premiership clash of the season. Celtic will host Rangers on Sunday and will be seeking an immediate response.
The match will be the latest meeting between the two Glasgow rivals.
