Celtic are reportedly closing in on a £9m transfer to sign Haissem Hassan.
The Parkhead club have been interested in the Egyptian World Cup star for weeks.
But, it now appears Celtic are in pole position to land the winger to fill a key position in Martin O'Neill's side.
According to The Scottish Sun, progress has been made in talks over a transfer fee for the Real Oviedo winger.
It's claimed Celtic chiefs are willing to spend big to sign the 24-year-old this summer as he enters the final year of his deal.
According to the report, Celtic would pay around £6m for Hassan up front with another £3m included in the overall transfer package.
Hassan is thought to have turned down interest from Saudi but has also been linked with Marseille.
O'Neill is hopeful of landing the winger in order to have a natural starter at right wing.
Camilo Duran played there against Dundee in the 1-0 win on Monday but the Celtic boss conceded it was not his best position as he is wanted to be played as a striker.
