Celtic boss Postecoglou ranked better than Mourinho as Rangers' Van Bronckhorst makes top 50 list

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has been ranked as the 30th best boss in world football - with Rangers gaffer Giovanni van Bronckhorst in at 44.

The Hoops boss arrived at Parkhead last summer and has oversaw a revolution which has brought slick attacking football and plenty of exciting recruits, including Kyogo Furuhashi and Jota. His Celtic side won the Premiership last season but Rangers counterpart Van Bronckhorst also make Four-Four-Two's prestigious top 50 bosses in world football list after guiding them to May's Europa League final.

Pep Guardiola is currently rated as the best boss about for his work at Manchester City but Postecoglou impressively finishes above Roma's Jose Mourinho and England head coach Gareth Southgate is below both bosses in Glasgow. Four-Four-Two write: "Giovanni van Bronckhorst has taken Rangers to a major final but it's the misses that illuminate more than the hits. GVB hasn't been backed hugely, however, and despite this string of bad luck, he's managed to pull huge results out of the fire in his tenure so far.

"Give him a full season, a little more money and let's see what he can do: there are good signs. "The appointment of Ange Postecoglou drew some puzzling looks from some – especially after Eddie Howe's 'will he, won't he' Celtic saga.

"It's safe to say he's won the doubters over, however, with his stunning possession style, which has lifted Celtic into the Champions League group stage again.

"The Australian is already being tipped for massive jobs – and after a stint at City Football Group side Yokohama F. Marinos, he's had a Vieira-like transition from obscurity to becoming one of the most thrilling managers in Britain."
