Celtic and Rangers are both vying for the signature of Exeter City defender Alfie Pond - but the first bids are nowhere near the right price.
The 18-year-old centre-back is one of the League One club's brightest prospects and has made two senior appearances for them, although they both came in the EFL Trophy. He appeared on the senior bench twice in League Two last year as third tier promotion was clinched and spent the majority of the campaign on loan at non-league Tiverton Town. Grecians boss Matt Taylor has confirmed Scottish interest and Devon Live report it comes from Celtic and Rangers.
He said: "We have turned down a couple of really low offers from clubs north of the border in relation to his contract and that is not resolving itself any time soon. We have a fantastic loan opportunity on the table but the player and agent are turning that down at the moment."
