Neil Lennon believes the Cypriot top flight is more competitive than Scotland as he made reference to the two-horse race between Celtic and Rangers.
The former Hoops gaffer is enjoying a managerial adventure in Europe and enjoyed trophy success in his first couple of months at Omonia Nicosia lifting the domestic cup. That gained his team entry to the Europa League and after successfully knocking out Gent in the qualifiers they landed a dream draw alongside Manchester United, Real Sociedad and FC Sherriff in the Europa League proper.
Domestically, Lennon and Co have eyes on winning the league title and got back to winning ways after a big 4-0 win over Paralimni. It took their record for the new campaign to two wins and two defeats from four outings. It leaves them four points off early table toppers Pafos. The former Celtic gaffer believes four or five teams can land the league title compared to just two in Scotland who 'run away' with it.

After Omonia's big weekend win, he said: "We have to be more consistent and there's a long way to go. This league is very competitive. It's not like Scotland where two teams run away with it.
"It's competitive because four or five teams can win the league.
"Teams will take points off of each other as they go along and a couple of wins can take you into the top three.
"That's what we are focusing on - to make sure we win in the league and really compete in Europe.
"It's brilliant, it's testing for them and it's new for some of the players because they've never done it before."
Gary Hooper has joined his former Celtic boss alongside two other familiar faces to Scottish football fans in the shape of Adam Matthews and former Hibs and Rangers winger Brandon Barker.
Hooper, 34, was introduced in the final stages of the big win with his boss certain he will bring goals to his side as his fitness levels increase.
Lennon added: "Gary needs a bit of conditioning but you can see that he's a top player.
"You can see that he's got the touch and Gary is a goalscorer - he will bring goals.
"But he needs to work on his conditioning as he's not had a club for a while.
"He will be a good addition as a squad player for us."
