Rangers manager Leanne Crichton applauded the mentality of her side as they moved to the summit of the SWPL last night.
The Ibrox side beat defending champions Hearts 3-0 to maintain their perfect start to the season. Celtic beat Hibs with the duo the only two team still flexing a 100% start to the campaign, with Rangers leading the line courtesy of their superior goal difference.
Crichton’s side have scored 14 goals across their opening games and conceded only once.
Laura Berry netted twice against Hearts with Bailley Collins also in on the act.
“Every player played their part,” enthused Crichton to Rangers TV. “We knew it would be tough.
“They’re the current champions and we didn’t travel the best last year in these games.
“We emphasised the importance of coming here to gauge where we’re at this season and what type of performances we can produce away from home.
“We had a ruthlessness to us. I loved the professionalism.”
Grant Scott’s side also maintained their perfect start to the season with a 2-0 win over Joelle Murray’s Hibs.
Chloe Craig and Issy Fisher netted two goals within two minutes before the break.

Hibs pushed to get back into the game in the second period with Hoops keeper Adelaide Gay pulling off an impressive fingertip save to deny Rachael Boyle.
“I said when I came here last season that I didn’t think we should fear playing these teams but there is a difference between talking about it and producing it on match days and getting a result over the line,” said Scott.
“Including the Scottish Cup final at the end of last season, we have played Rangers, Glasgow City, Montrose and Hibs and won all of them. If the team need any belief then they only have to look at that sequence of results.
“But we know that we are only as good as our last game.
“It has been a really positive start for us, but that is all it is – a good start. The players have gelled quickly, they have worked really hard across pre-season and we are delighted that they have had some reward for that.
“But there is absolutely no-one getting carried away. It’s been a string start for us but it is important that we keep building on that.”
Murray was frustrated not to take anything from the game but was satisfied with the way her players performed.
They had a strong second period and might have pulled themselves back into the game immediately after the restart when Rachael Boyle had curling effort tipped over the bar.
“There were definitely positives within the performance,” said Murray.
“We had a wobble for five minutes and it has cost us.
“But over the last few weeks there has been a lot for us to be encouraged about.”
Elsewhere, Glasgow City thumped Spartans 7-0 with Lisa Forrest netted a penalty for the Petershill side.
Kelly Brady opened the scoring for Leanne Ross’ side before Forrest netted two before the break.
They kept their foot to the floor after the interval with Forrest completing her hat-trick before Abi Harrison, Ruby Seaby and Emily Whelan adding to Spartans misery.
At the other end of the table, both Montrose and Aberdeen are still looking for their first points of the season.
Partick Thistle beat Aberdeen 3-0, their third successive loss with goals from Abby Robinson, Sophie Townsley and Imogen Longcake all on the scoresheet for Gary Holt’s side.
Motherwell beat Montrose 3-1 for their first victory of the season.
Carla Boyle and Sophie Rutherford netted for the Fir Park before Lucy Ronald made it three, Kaela McDonald-Nguah netted a consolation from the spot.
