Canadian megastar Céline Dion kicks off the first of 16 sold-out concerts at the Plenitude Arena in Paris on Saturday, as fans who missed out on tickets find other ways to enjoy the singer's presence – from buying memorabilia to joining karaoke parties.
Since Dion arrived in Paris on 28 August, there has been a constant buzz of excitement outside the Royal Monceau Hotel in the city's upmarket 8th district near the Champs-Elysées.
