Celebrity Traitors live: Kate Garraway banished after Celia Imrie’s ‘murder’ as final is set

The Celebrity Traitors contestants have done it again and eliminated another Faithful as Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway was banished on Thursday’s episode following the “murder” of Celia Imrie.

In the penultimate episode of the hit BBC show, Alan Carr and Cat Burns managed to successfully avoid detection from the Faithful and both made it through to next week’s final.

The episode began with a dinner party where Alan Carr “murdered” actor Celia Imrie in plain sight, bringing to an end her amazing run on the show.

When it came to the challenge, the contestants successfully completed a surreal laser beam challenge that involved mannequin heads of former contestants.

At the roundtable, things became heated again when David Olusoga and Kate took aim for each other. However, the cast ultimately voted for Kate, who said she’d had an “amazing game” after “years of being very serious, very sad”.

The episode ended with Claudia Winkleman telling the contestants that there will be no murder tonight, meaning the final is between Alan, Cat, David, Joe Marler and Nick Mohammed.

Interestingly, Joe has sussed out that Alan and Cat are Traitors and has convinced Nick that they are too. Will he manage to convince David? All those questions will be answered in next week’s grand finale.

The Celebrity Traitors returns on Thursday, November 6 at 9pm on BBC One.

10:15 , Greg Evans

TV presenter Kate Garraway says she has a “sneaky feeling” that comedian Alan Carr will win The Celebrity Traitors.

Garraway, 58, has praised Carr as a “mega star” after she was banished from the BBC One game show on Thursday night.

She told Good Morning Britain on Friday that she “genuinely” has no idea who will win next week’s final.

It might not have been as dramatic as Jonatha’s but Kate’s exit speech got us right in the feels. Bless her.

“I’ve had a lot of years of being very serious, very sad, and you’ve all allowed me to play the most amazing game. But also you have allowed me to play and be silly and have fun.

“Every single one of you I’m going to take away a new idea and a start of a new kind of life. So thank you very much for all of that, thank you. Genuinely, I have and always have been totally myself, a faithful.”

Alan Carr shares Paloma Faith friendship update after Celebrity Traitors betrayal

04:00 , Greg Evans

Comedian Alan Carr has said he is no longer friends with Paloma Faith after he betrayed her on Celebrity Traitors.

Carr’s decision to “murder” Faith came as a shock to audiences after the pair’s close bond was revealed in the BBC game show’s first episode. “She’s not happy about it,” Carr said of his controversial decision.

When asked by DJ Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, on his Life’s a Beach podcast: “Aren’t you mates with Paloma?” Carr replied, “Well, I was…”

He continued: “She said, ‘If you were a real friend, you wouldn’t have killed me.’ But I said, ‘I’m the traitor!’ The show’s called The Traitors – it does what it says on the tin.”

Celia Imrie murdered in plain sight by Alan Carr

Here’s the moment Alan Carr “murdered” a second Faithful in plain sight when he eliminated Celia Imrie from the game.

Carr delivered the vital blow saying the line “Parting is such sweet sorrow” aloud during the dinner party. It’s the second time he has murdered a faithful face-to-face, after ‘killing’ Paloma Faith earlier in the series.

Upon learning about her ‘death’, Imrie, said, “This is not a very good thing” before asking, “Am I dead?”

Thanks to La Voix and Alan Carr, the chaotic gay funnyman is back on the BBC

‘Celebrity Traitors’ and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, the biggest shows on BBC One right now, have been dominated by a pair of withering gay comedians delighting in their own comic mercilessness. And it’s a much-needed throwback to a long-gone era of Lily Savage, Julian Clary and Mrs Merton, writes Adam White

Watch as Alan Carr bursts out laughing when he says he’s a Faithful in Celebrity Traitors

Watch the moment Alan Carr bursts out laughing when he is asked to call himself a Faithful in the latest episode of The Celebrity Traitors.

In Thursday’s episode of the BBC reality show, the final five contestants were summoned outside by Claudia Winkleman. Standing in a circle around a fire pit, each must declare: “I am a Faithful.”

When it is Carr’s turn to speak, the comedian, who has been a Traitor since the start of the series, couldn’t keep a straight face and caught the giggles.

The rest of the cast burst out laughing, as Carr defended his slip-up by claiming that he “just gets nervous”.

He reiterated that he is a Faithful, with Joe Marler telling him: “I’m not buying it.”

Watch Alan Carr’s hilarious performance in the latest The Celebrity Traitors challenge, as he carries a mannequin version of his own head across a laser beam room.

In Thursday’s episode of the BBC reality show, the remaining six contestants had to successfully cross a room filled with laser projectors whilst holding busts of the cast in order to add to the cash pot.

Carr decided to carry his own bust, explaining: “Hey, I’m a narcissistic, someone’s gotta love it.”

Before one particularly difficult moment, the comedian turned to the mannequin head and said: “Don’t worry I’ve got you”, before chucking it across the laser beam.

In another moment, while trying to avoid a beam, Carr’s bottom set off the alarm and he had to start again.

Well, tonight’s festivities are over.

We’ll just leave you with this amazing bit of detective work from Joe Marler. Seriously, he’s better than Sherlock Holmes and Batman combined.

If there is any justice to this game than he’ll lead The Traitors to victory as he’s barely put a foot wrong.

Celia reacts to the Traitors

Thursday 30 October 2025 22:10 , Greg Evans

It’s over the Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked now where Ed Gamble interviews Celia first.

The actor calls the game both “wonderful” and “cruel” but is shocked that she was murdered in plain sight.

Before she learns who the Traitors are she tells Ed that she thinks Alan and Joe were the dastardly duo.

Celia calls Cat a “little minx” having voted for Cat at the second roundtable. Alan is called a “bastard” by the acting legend.

“I hate them both” says Celia. An iconic end to her legendary run on the game.

Joe starts rallying against Alan and Cat

Thursday 30 October 2025 22:04 , Greg Evans

Well that was dramatic.

The episode ends with Joe Marler stating he’s going to try and get close to Alan and Cat and is determined to rip the rug from under their feet.

Nick is onboard with his Alan and Cat theory but might have to work on convincing David.

Meanwhile, in the turret Alan and Cat agree to split the winnings between them if they make it that far. “Traitors for life,” says Alan

Joe Marler has sussed it

It’s between David and Kate!

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:48 , Greg Evans

David proposes a theory after the votes for him evaporated on Wednesday and blames Kate for this.

Sparks fly between Kate and David and not the good kind. They are definitely gunning for each other here.

Alan digs into this and appears to suggest that both Kate and David are Traitors!

Nick takes aim at Cat!

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:45 , Greg Evans

After defending Kate, Nick sets his sights on Cat and accuses her of being a Traitor.

Cat tries to defend herself but it isn’t convincing if we’re being honest. This is the first time she’s really been grilled at a roundtable.

Kate pleads her case.

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:44 , Greg Evans

The roundtable starts with Kate addressing everyone and asking them to explain why they think she is a Traitor.

Kate admits that she is possibly “too curious” and finds it difficult to judge people after Cat asks why she never suggests any theories.

Joe calls her a “ditzy damsel” but believes she is smarter than she’s letting on.

Nick comes to her defence and believes that she is a Faithful.

It's the roundtable already

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:41 , Greg Evans

On blimey! It’s already the roundtable. Alan looks like he’s gotten away with it here and it looks like Kate and David are the prime suspects!

Challenge completed successfully

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:36 , Greg Evans

This was definitely the strangest challenge so far, perhaps even stranger than the banshee challenge.

All of the contestants make it across with one mannequin head but Joe Marler, who is an absolute unit, is the last to get across, meaning we’re greeted with the truly bizarre sight of the rugby player shuffling across the floor while everyone yells at him.

Fortunately they complete the challenge and bag the full amount. Amazingly they all seemed to enjoy it!

(BBC)

Laser challenge begins

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:30 , Greg Evans

It’s all gone a bit Catherine Zeta-Jones in Entrapment. The contestants have to glide through at set of laser beams and pop a mannequin head of a former Faithful onto a body.

It’s all very surreal and there isn’t even a shield up for grabs.

Claudia tells the contestants Celia was 'murdered' in plain sight

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:20 , Greg Evans

In a big twist Claudia tells the cast that Celia was “murdered” in plain sight but she doesn’t say how.

Immediately they all try and figure out how this happened and devise that Jonathan was involved, even though he’d already been banished.

Alan might have gotten away with one here!

Celia has been murdered!

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:15 , Greg Evans

Well, well. Alan has decided to murder Celia!

This is a major shock but it was the easiest option for Alan has he was sitting right next to her.

What a shame for the icon. She’s been excellent in this game.

The actor says she’s loved being on the game but is “devastated”.

Kate survived. It’s between Nick, Celia and David!

Alan delivers the fatal blow!

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:10 , Greg Evans

Alan is more like himself in the previous episode. Gone is the dastardly villain and he’s absolutely bricking it.

However, the comedian delivers the fatal blow and says “parting is such sweet sorrow”.

In a typical Traitors fashion we don’t see who it was.

Deadly dinner party begins

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:08 , Greg Evans

Well the dinner party has begun. They’ve got a starter of cheese and crackers. Probably sensible as they’ve just had lasagne.

In a lovely moment, David says that not only has he found the game hard, he admits that it has “changed him”.

Celia adds that its “lovely” that all the contestants have been themselves. Kate reiterates this by saying that she has been “inspired” by everyone.

Nice to have a bit of warmth and friendship on the Traitors for once.

(BBC)

And we're off!

Thursday 30 October 2025 21:02 , Greg Evans

The last but one episode of Celebrity Traitors has begun. Who will survive and what will be left of them?

What to expect on tonight's Celebrity Traitors

Thursday 30 October 2025 20:45 , Greg Evans

After the “murder” of Lucy and Jonathan’s banishment on Wednesday, there are just seven contestants left. Alan and Cat are the only two Traitors, while Joe, Celia, Kate, David and Nick make up the remaining Faithful.

Claudia announced at the end of last night’s episode that from now on, the contestants will not have to declare if they are a Faithful or a Traitor when they are banished.

Claudia also invited all the celebrities to a dinner party to celebrate them catching their first Traitor (which seems like a lot of food, considering they’d just treated themselves to lasagne).

However, Alan and Cat were told that they would have to “murder” another Faithful in plain sight during the dinner party. To make things extra tricky for the pair, to commit the murder, one of them will have to raise a toast and say: “Parting is such sweet sorrow”, followed by the victim's name.

Joe has a shield, so is therefore protected from murder, meaning that either Celia, David, Nick or Kate will be offed in the opening stages of the episode.

As the final looms, the tension and excitement is palpable and I’m just talking bout my front room. Goodness knows what it was like in the Traitors castle...

Alan weighs up his next victim (BBC)

30 minute warning klaxon!

Thursday 30 October 2025 20:30 , Greg Evans

There is just half an hour to go until the penultimate episode of Celebrity Traitors!

Which of the Faithful will survive? Will Alan and Cat both make it to the final? What other twists will Claudia have in store?

All these questions and more will be answered by 10pm.
