Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins saw a group of this year’s stars forced to strip off and shower naked together as the show returned to Channel 4 on Sunday evening.
The brutal endurance test this year sees more celebrity recruits than ever before, in the longest series yet.
Reality TV stars Ferne McCann, Curtis Pritchard and his brother AJ Pritchard were among the new recruits sharing water for a daily wash in the dry desert in Jordan.
Chief Instructor, Rudy Reyes and his team of directing staff, Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox, Mark Billingham and Remi Adeleke put the celebrities through their paces with a series of gruelling tasks and interrogations in the blistering heat of the Jordanian desert.
This year’s line-up includes EastEnders ’ actress Maisie Smith, TOWIE alum Ferne as well as Love Island star Curtis and former footballer Ashley Cain, who spar with each other as part of a boxing match in a desert.
They are joined on the new series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins by Love Island winner Amber Gill, fellow TOWIE alum Pete Wicks as well as Brookside actress Jennifer Ellison.
TV personality Calum Best is also part of the line-up this year, alongside Curtis' brother AJ Pritchard, best known as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing.
Channel 4 viewers will also get to see several athletes put through their paces, including Olympic sprinter Dwain Chambers as well as taekwondo athlete Jade Jones and javelin thrower Fatima Whitbread.
Professional boxer Shannon Courtenay and Paralympic high jumper Jonathan Broom-Edwards complete the line-up for the new series.
Ahead of the new series, chief instructor Rudy said: “SAS is renowned for having the highest standards. We don’t care where they come from or what their net worth is. We demand full throttle excellence no matter celebrity, title or fame.”
Foxy added: “I know you always hear this but this is the hardest hit bunch of celebs to date! Fact. In this year’s helping of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, you get plenty of strength, weakness, dark times, easily some of the funniest comments/moments and huge, huge surprises! I’ll leave to you to decide who delivers on which front. Celebrities, you know who you are! They who dare ultimately stand there deservedly!”
Billy continued: “These celebrities will learn quickly that image and egos count for nothing. Many will try, but few will be chosen!!!”
Remi concluded: “They definitely paid the man…IN FULL. There was no holding back on our part, just because they were celebrities.”
