Celebrity Gogglebox always delivers its stars in an unvarnished, unguarded way. But no one could have imagined the reactions of Fearne Cotton, Rylan Clark, Martin Kemp and more in Friday's (July 15) programme.
The topic was the new Netflix hit How To Build A Sex Room. And the Goggleboxers really were goggle-eyed at the concept.
Former MP Gyles Brandreth told his sofa mate Carol Vorderman that he wanted the number of the sex room planner. Meanwhile Carol made the shock admission: "I've always wanted mirrors on the ceiling."
Comedian Jon Richardson told his fellow comedian wife Lucy Beaumont that he could build the opposite - a "no sex room". Rob Beckett and Tom Allen were impressed when they saw a ready-built room with a cage.
Lucy told Jon he could have done with some sex stirrups when he put his back out, missing the point on purpose. But the prize for best unaffected response wemt to Tom who, after watching a supercut of the sleaziest, most erotic rooms the Netflix series has to offer, said simply: "I'd rather have a walk-in wardrobe."
Vicky @vickypatel_ loved comedian Tom's quip: "Sex room....I'd rather have a walk in wardrobe #gogglebox #CelebrityGogglebox"
Sue Simmonds @sue_simmonds seconded it: "I’m with Tom. Actually, just a decent wardrobe would do, never mind a walk in wardrobe ….#Gogglebox #CelebrityGogglebox #HowToBuildASexRoom @tomallencomedy"
Countess of Waterdeep @DeepCountess tweeted: "As if I've got enough spare cash to have a room devoted entirely to sex! In THIS economy?! #Gogglebox"
Wez @ShamWez wanted to know the answer to the question on everyone's lips: "Does a sex room add to the valuation of your house? We’ve not got a garage but have a sex dungeon … #gogglebox"
