Celebrity Gogglebox’s Gyles Brandreth has revealed that he previously turned down a chance to appear on Strictly Come Dancing. The politician turned broadcaster and regular face of ITV’s This Morning took to Twitter to confirm that he had been asked.
The sweater-wearing star, 74, wrote: “Yes, I have been approached about doing #Strictly (and I’m flattered because I love the show), but sadly it’s not for me for this compelling reason: I ain’t got rhythm … I REALLY ain’t got rhythm.”
The BBC has now unveiled the full line-up for this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing. There will be 15 celebrities who will all be hoping that, unlike Gyles, they 'have rhythm'. You can read more about who is taking part here.
