Celebrity Gogglebox star Denise Van Outen has shared her deep respect and trust for best friend Duncan James ahead of the show starting on Friday, June 10. It follows her shock split from her ex Eddie Boxshall.
The Blue singer will appear on the hit TV show with Denise Van Outen when the show airs on Channel Four. She shared that she was touched that James reached out to her to check she was okay after the split and praised his big heart.
The presenter told The Sun: 'The big thing is we trust each other. I trust him and we respect each other as friends. 'For me, it's those moments when things are not going so well in your life and there's someone who reaches out to you to make sure you're OK.
She also mentioned on Fearne Cotton's podcast that she has been attending therapy since the split in a bid to become 'emotionally available' for her next relationship.
'Dunc's always the first, he's got the biggest heart. He's always the person to reach out and go, ''Are you all right? Can I do anything to help?''
She shared that Duncan came over to give her a hug after the split and that he had been a great support to her. The split is said to have happened after Eddie allegedly admitted to sexting other women behind the presenter's back after seven years together.
She also added that it helped that he is good-looking and jokingly called him, 'Dunc the hunk.' She has been friends with the Blue singer since the early noughties and he calls their friendship, 'genuine.'
Duncan confirmed on Good Morning Britain that he would join Denise along with his band mater, Simon Webbe. The pair were on the show to talk about their upcoming tour before Duncan said that filming was due to start earlier this week. He also shared that he refers to Denise as 'The DVO.'
He said: "Me and Denis Van Outen the DVO - we are doing Gogglebox together, I can't wait. 'We actually start filming next week so yeah it's really exciting.'
The pair are said to have great chemistry together onscreen and share a similar sense of humour.
Other celebrities said to be taking part in the new series are Dame Joanna Lumley who will be joined by Gyles Brandreth. Others that are set to return include Rylan Clark and his mother Linda, Happy Monday's Shaun Ryder and Bez will also appear again.
Celebrity Gogglebox returns on Friday, June 10, at 9pm on Channel 4.
