KSI and S-X will reportedly be absent from the upcoming series of Celebrity Gogglebox, likely leaving fans devastated after delighting with their cheeky commentary on the show.
The YouTuber and producer have decided to take a break from the show in order to focus on their respective musical pursuits, but have not ruled out coming back to a Gogglebox sofa in the future.
KSI, 28, and S-X, 29, joined the celebrity version of the show in 2020, alongside the likes of Denise van Outen, Martin Kemp and son Roman Kemp.
S-X worked with KSI on his debut album Dissimulation, producing the rapper’s lead single Down Like That as well as KSI’s single Wake Up Call.
The pair gave their hot takes on the best of British TV, with a selection of great snacks and takeaway food to get through at the same time.
But sources close to the duo have now said they have “stepped back” this series, the Daily Star reports.
S-X, also known as Sam Gumbley, previously told the Star: “[Filming] is long but honestly, it's so fun so it just feels like a breeze.
“I miss it, to be honest, just sitting there watching shows being able to feel like no one's watching even though there's clearly cameras right in front.”
The 29-year-old added: “It's just watching shows but you know you've got to react but I love it, I never thought I would enjoy doing that so much, just sitting there watching TV.
“It makes so much sense, why is that not the biggest show in the world?!”
This comes after Denise Van Outen's ex Eddie Boxshall was reportedly dumped by Channel 4 for the upcoming series of Celebrity Gogglebox.
The television star, 47, is set to be joined by former Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, 40, on the sofa instead.
Denise chatted all things telly alongside Eddie, 47, in the last season of the show and the pair proved to be a hit with viewers.
Yet after the duo split earlier this month after seven years together, a source told The Sun Denise wants to honour the commitment to the show despite their breakup.
They said: “But she won’t be having Eddie back in the house, let alone on her sofa, so she is looking for a friend to come on board.
“Ideally, it would be Kimberley Walsh as they’re good pals and Kimberley has been on Gogglebox before.”
