Celebrity Cruises adds new itineraries for in-demand destination

Japan's tourism industry bounced back faster than expected after the Covid pandemic and continues to grow. The country is expected to see a record-breaking 35 million foreign visitors in 2024 and foreign visitor spending for the year has already set a new all-time record.

With no place in Japan more than 93 miles from the sea, it’s a country that’s easy to explore by cruise ship. A diverse mix of cruise ports welcomes travelers to experience Japan’s tranquil natural beauty, ancient temples and shrines, futuristic cityscapes, unique cuisine, and rich cultural experiences.

Celebrity Cruises will offer new experiences from Tokyo in 2026

Celebrity Cruises recently unveiled its new 2026 Japan sailings that invite Japan-curious cruisers to be tantalized by Tokyo. The cruise line’s new Japan itineraries also offer opportunities to explore ancient Kyoto, majestic Mt. Fuji, and more.

Sailing out of a brand-new Tokyo terminal in 2026, Celebrity Millennium will offer more overnight access to the city and its energetic nightlife. The ship will homeport out of the new, centrally-located Narita terminal for the first time and offer overnights that will make it easier for passengers to explore Tokyo’s bustling city center.

A variety of Best of Japan itineraries sailing from Tokyo will allow passengers to experience the beauty of Japan in spring, summer or fall. Celebrity’s 2026 Japan cruise itineraries range from 11 – 13 nights and include sailings during Gion Festival, Golden Week and Nebuta Festival that offer unique cultural experiences.

Passengers will also have more opportunities to discover sought-after destinations across Asia in 2026 with Best of Japan and South Korea sailings, and a 13-night Hong Kong, Japan and Vietnam cruise.

With Celebrity Cruises’ current fall sale, passengers can save on select Japan cruises and other sailings booked by Nov. 7, 2024. The sale offers 75% off the cruise fare for the second passenger in a stateroom and bonus savings of up to $200 off per stateroom. The offer applies to select 3-night and longer sailings departing now through May 7, 2026.
