The winners of the Scottish gin industry answers to the Oscars have been announced – and Edinburgh's gin makers took home a slew of awards. The sixth annual Scottish Gin Awards celebrate the cream of the crop when it comes to Scottish gin, awarding medals for the best-tasting spirits while picking out the highest achieving in a range of business categories.
The results are highly regarded as they are independently audited by a panel of experts and judged live in a rigorously assessed blind-tasting event.
Over 300 guests from the Scottish drinks industry joined to celebrate achievements in Glasgow on Thursday night with Edinburgh's gin makers – established and new – taking home a lion share of the prizes.
