There’s been no shortage of headlines surrounding the Cowboys this NFL offseason. While the build-up and intrigue around a new-look offense with playcalling by head coach Mike McCarthy, it seems players are fully buying into the hype on both sides of the ball.
And for budding star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, his recent comments don’t just point to a new-look offense, but one that could see quarterback Dak Prescott putting a whole lot of air under the ball. In turn, Lamb had a direct warning for the entire NFL, as The Athletic’s Jon Machota revealed the wide receiver told 105.3 The Fan.
“He’s very aggressive. … And he’s looking for the deep ball now. And as you (saw on Saturday), it’s up there. So if you’re not gonna back up, this is a warning to everybody, if you’re not gonna back up, good luck,” Lamb said on Prescott.
The entire offense as a whole appears to point toward many more opportunities for big plays, something fans didn’t see often under offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. The potential for Prescott to have a career-year seems to be very much on the table, and the addition of wide receiver Brandin Cooks this offseason via trade only adds to the belief that Dallas is ready and willing to open the field up.
