The incident occurred at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, when a sprinting referee accidentally made contact with Lamb, sending him backwards into the bench area. Lamb, who was not in uniform for the game, appeared unhurt and was seen laughing afterwards. The Cowboys went on to lose the match 31–21.
