Rangers outcast Cedric Itten's 'Rangers 'B' run out in the Glasgow Cup didn't exactly go to plan.
The Swiss international was hooked at half-time in a 1-1 draw with Celtic at the Penny Cars Stadium, with many Gers fans losing patience with the 25-year-old.
Itten hasn't had much of a look in under Giovanni van Bronckhorst, with Alfredo Morelos, Fashion Sakala and Kemar Roofe arguably ahead of him in the pecking order.
Promising stars Alex Lowry, Leon King and Mateusz Zukowski were also named in a strong Gers side that saw four changes from the 9-0 thrashing of Clyde in midweek.
The result leaves Rangers Colts with seven points from their three games in the group so far as they strive to get their hands on more silverware this season.
The half-time hooking wasn't the only low point in Itten's recent Rangers career.
He was offloaded out to German club Greuther Fürth in the summer window, but he was recalled by his parent club by January with van Bronckhorst wanting another look at the Swiss attacker.
