CCTV shows horrifying moment two men are stabbed in broad-daylight at petrol station

This is the moment two men were ambushed at a petrol station in Salford. Yesterday evening police were called to Cromwell road after two men suffered serious injuries following a 'double stabbing'.

Footage of the altercation obtained by the M.E.N. shows the moment the assailants attack the victims and make off with one of the three off road motorbikes that the victims were cleaning at the station.

At the beginning of the clip the victims have their backs turned to the robbers and are occupied by their vehicles. The assailants can be seen emerging from a nearby estate and one of them brandishes a bladed weapon as they get closer to their targets.

The masked man immediately begins to swing his weapon while the victim attempts to dodge the attack and keep control of their motorbike which seems to be what the aggressors are after. A scuffle ensues between the two groups while a spooked member of the public rushes into the store.

For almost 30 seconds, the groups go back and forth as the victims try to fend off the knifeman and prevent the other two attackers from taking their motorbikes. One of the victims manages to mount a motorbike and begins to circle the petrol station.

One of the assailants also mounts a bike belonging to the victims. The two remaining masked men turn their attention to the other victim who is still on foot but has picked up the remaining bike.

The armed man swings his blade at the victim multiple times while his partner throws blows in their efforts to gain control of the bike. The victim is aided by his partner who kicks the two attackers as he rides past them at speed on the motorbike.

This causes a separation between the groups, and the attackers retreat with a stolen motorbike while the victims are left to nurse their wounds and quickly secure the two bikes they are left with.

Officers were called out following an altercation at around 7pm on Sunday evening. GMP say the two victims suffered injuries that were consistent with knife wounds but they are not thought to be life threatening.

No arrests have been made so far and an investigation has been launched. Cordons were in place around the petrol station and neighbouring estate last night, and officers were given extra powers to stop and search individuals within one mile of the scene until 8am on Monday (March 27).
