A man needed hospital treatment after a dog on the loose in Nottinghamshire bit him while he was walking through a field. Police are seeking the public’s help after the dog bit the man in the groin area.
Police said the brown Alsatian ran up to the 54-year-old and bit him on land at the back of South Avenue, Rainworth, at around 4.30pm on Friday, August 12.
Police Constable Louise Bicknell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The dog didn’t have a collar on and there was no-one else in the field at the time of the incident. It’s believed the dog ran off towards Little John Drive.
