Police have issued a CCTV picture of a man they want to speak to after a Metrolink worker was punched in the jaw at a tram stop.
The staff member was attacked at the Prestwich tram stop in August, police said. He was hit in the face after asking a ticketless passenger to leave.
Officers shared a photo of a man they want to talk to about the incident as part of an appeal on social media. Anyone who recognises him is being urged to get in touch.
Alongside the photo, police said: "#APPEAL | We're investigating the assault of a Metrolink worker at #Prestwich station in August. He was hit in the jaw after asking a ticketless passenger to leave.
"Can you help us identify this man? We're keen to speak to him about it. Call us on 101 quoting 1589 - 11/08/2022."
