The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will begin the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations 2027 from tomorrow, September 24. Schools affiliated with the board can submit the LOC for eligible students through the official CBSE portal, cbse.gov.in.
The submission window will remain open until October 21 without a late fee.
According to a circular issued to affiliated schools on September 17, CBSE has provided separate instructions for the Class 10 board examinations, which will be conducted in two sessions.
CBSE Class 10 LOC For First Board Exam
For Class 10, schools will have to submit the LOC for the first board examination, which is scheduled to be held during February-March 2027. The board has clarified that this LOC must be submitted compulsorily for all eligible Class 10 candidates.
The LOC for the second Class 10 board examination will be submitted separately after the first board examination is over.
The LOC submission process will begin on September 24, 2026, and continue until October 21, 2026.
What are the Details Required For CBSE LOC Submission
Schools will need to enter several details of students while submitting the LOC. These include the candidate's full name, date of birth, gender, category and the full names of parents or guardians, with all details entered with the correct spellings. The photograph and signature of each candidate must also be uploaded in the format specified by the board.
Eligibility for candidates submitting LOC
- Students are regularly attending classes in the school and fulfilling the minimum attendance norms as per the Examination Bye-laws of the Board.
- Students are not registered with any other School Education Board in addition to CBSE.
- The students are eligible to appear in the Board Examinations for classes X and XII as per the provisions of the Examination Bye-laws
Changes After LOC Submission
CBSE has also stated that once the LOC has been submitted, schools will not be able to request changes related to subjects or admissions in Classes X and XII, except in transfer cases.

Step 4: The date sheet PDF will open on the screen.
Step 5: Check the examination schedule, download the PDF and take a printout for future reference.
