Ohio State Football is not stranger to All-American players.
Just last year, the Buckeyes had six players earn those honors, with Marvin Harrison Jr. being selected an a unanimous first-teamer, and offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. getting a consensus distinction.
Multiple other players like quarterback C.J. Stroud and linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, were on the second or third teams. The 2023 season should be no different for Ohio State, as Harrison Jr. and Eichenberg return, while other stars could make that leap into national relevance.
CBS Sports thinks that at least five Ohio State players will have All-American type seasons. Find out below which Buckeyes made its preseason list.
First team, Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
Hype
Harrison Jr. is one of the few players across the country that everyone already knows. He’s a projected first round NFL draft pick.
First team, Defensive lineman J.T. Tuimoloau
Hype
Just go back and watch Tuimoloau’s performance against Penn State. If he is more consistent with play, he very well could live up to this prognostication.
First team, Linebacker Tommy Eichenberg
Hype
Like Harrison Jr., Eichenberg returns to Columbus with plenty of recognition. If he raises his game to another level, All-American honors might not be the only thing that the linebacker takes home.
Second team, Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka
Hype
If it wasn’t for his teammate, Egbuka might be the top overall receiver in the country. Either way, the only Batman and Robin may be a better duo, and both will get plenty of recognition after the season.
Second team, Offensive lineman Donovan Jackson
Hype
Jackson is the rock on the Buckeyes offensive line. He’s clearly the best on the team and one of the best across the country.
