CBS News has officially fired 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi days after she went scorched earth on the network’s editor-in-chief, Bari Weiss, when her contract wasn’t renewed, according to reports.
Alfonsi, who publicly clashed with Weiss after her segment on El Salvador’s notorious CECOT prison was abruptly pulled off the air in December. She has now officially been fired by the network, The Hollywood Reporter and Puck News correspondent Dylan Byers reported Thursday.
