How much better will the Washington Commanders be in 2024?
After replacing the front office, coaching staff, and over half of the roster, there’s a good chance Washington will be better than 4-13 in 2024. The Commanders finished 4-13 last season and landed the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, which was used to select quarterback Jayden Daniels.
John Breech of CBS Sports recently predicted the final record for all 32 NFL teams, including his Super Bowl pick, MVP and playoff matchups.
While Breech doesn’t have the Commanders making the playoffs, he does have them finishing ahead of the New York Giants in the NFC East and with a better record than last season.
His prediction for Washington: 7-10.
That’s a reasonable expectation for the Commanders in 2024 with so many unknowns. General manager Adam Peters has set the Commanders up to be competitive in 2024, but the offseason goal was to put the franchise in a position to contend for years to come.
CBS has the Cowboys becoming the first repeat NFC East winner since 2004, albeit with a 10-7 record.
