Desmond King can’t wait to add younger coworkers to the office.
The Pro Bowl cornerback took to Twitter on Saturday after the conclusion of the 2022 NFL draft to welcome the Houston Texans’ new class to the NFL.
“This gone be a great year,” King tweeted. “Let’s get to work fellas! Welcome to the family.”
The Texans added firepower to the secondary with cornerback Derek Stingley (No. 3 overall, Round 1) and safety Jalen Pitre (No. 37 overall, Round 2). The defense also added some quality pieces in linebacker Christian Harris (No. 75 overall, Round 3), and DL Thomas Booker (No. 150 overall, Round 5).
Houston is still forecast to be one of the worst teams in the NFL in 2022, but strong draft classes formed by general manager Nick Caserio should have the franchise turned around by 2023.
