Cathie Wood once again bought the dip yesterday, turning proactive as the market crashed. Wood and her Ark Invest firm loaded up on shares of Robinhood, Tesla, Coinbase, Palantir Technologies and others.
Ark Invest on Monday purchased 79,318 shares of Tesla stock worth $17.62 million based on the 222.15 closing price, according to daily trade updates from the firm. Ark purchased 68,164 shares for its flagship Ark Innovation ETF, with the remainder in the Ark Autonomous Technology & Robotics ETF.
Wood purchased 269,864 shares of Robinhood stock for the ARKK ETF worth $9.6 million based on Monday's 35.63 closing price.
Ark added 64,358 shares of Coinbase across the Innovation ETF and the Ark Fintech Innovation ETF. The Coinbase stock purchases were worth $11.53 million, with a closing price of 179.23.
Advanced Micro Devices, Palantir and Beam Theraputics were some of the largest purchases on the day.
Cathie Wood and ARK added 147,551 shares of AMD stock worth $14.26 million based on Monday's 96.63 closing price. The firm purchased 152,253 shares of Palantir worth $11.63 million.
Ark bought 485,005 shares of Beam Therapeutics stock worth $12.46 million based on the 25.69 closing price.
Stock Action
Robinhood stock on Tuesday rebounded with 2% gain.
Coinbase shares jumped about 7%.
Tesla stock swung 3.8% higher. Elsewhere, President Donald Trump said online that he intends to purchase a Tesla on Tuesday in support of Elon Musk. The electric car company has faced criticism, boycotts and instances of vandalism since Musk has taken charge of the Department of Government Efficiency. Trump online said the "radical left lunatics" are "illegally and collusively" boycotting Tesla.
AMD shares ticked up slightly Tuesday.
Palantir advanced 2.2%.
BEAM stock climbed 2.8%.
