Catherine Tyldesley said she invites her husband to watch her film sex scenes so he won't get jealous.
The former Coronation Street star, 38, has a unique way to help hubby Tom Pitfield avoid becoming jealous over her steamy scenes - by letting him be on set while she’s doing them.
And Catherine even confessed she asks Tom for his advice ahead of sexy performances, as she wants to know if she looks good in certain positions.
During an interview for the Hot Mess Mums Club podcast, the actress, who is expecting her second child, a baby girl, next month, said most of her relationships ended because of her high-profile job, so she was keen to stop that from happening with Tom.
“Most of my relationships before Tom, well in fact, all of them, ended because of my job. They didn’t get it, the jealousy. But Tom is so chilled,” she explained.
“I remember the night before rehearsals for my sex scenes, and I said, ‘Babe, if I straddle like this, does my bum look really bad? Have I got cauliflower ass?’” Catherine laughed.
She said having the 34-year-old photographer on set while she’s filming sexy scenes has been nothing but good for their relationship, as he can see just how unsexy the steamy scenes are in real-life.
“He’s been there on set when I’ve had to snog other actors. But I think that’s good. Tom being there means he can see how clinical it is - and not remotely sexy,” Catherine said.
The couple are already parents to son Alfie, seven, and she had nothing but praise for her husband of almost eight years, as she struggles with sickness and exhaustion during the late stages of her pregnancy.
“I feel like Tom has more or less been solo parenting for months because I’ve found it so difficult,” she shared.
“He gets up with Alfie and takes him to school most days because I just can’t function in the morning,” Catherine added, noting that it’s been “really difficult” as she’s been so tired due to not being able to sleep at night.
“And on the odd day that I have Alfie on my own I get the fear - I have to psych myself up for it and just pray to God that I’m having a good day,” she said tearfully.
Former Strictly star Catherine has even had to turn down jobs due to being so physically exhausted, and she was in extreme discomfort in the last few months of her pregnancy.
“I hate admitting when I’m not physically up to something. I had to turn down an acting job down before Christmas, as a brilliant job, but very physical,” she confessed.
