Catalans Dragons have been fined £25,000, half of which has been suspended until the end of the 2023 season, following the misbehaviour of their supporters at last year’s play-off defeat to Leeds Rhinos.
Rohan Smith’s men beat the Dragons in the Super League play-off eliminator and were pelted with missiles thrown from the home stands at the end of a bad-tempered encounter. Steve McNamara’s side had Michael McIlorum and Mitchell Pearce, twice, sinbinned while prop Gil Dudson was sent off as the Rhinos won 20-10 courtesy of Liam Sutcliffe’s hat-trick.
