Casualty has axed an episode this weekend which featured a school shooting.
It comes after Salvador Ramos, 18, killed 21 people after storming into Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, armed with a handgun and an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle on May 24.
Among the dead were two teachers and 19 children.
Following the tragic news, BBC bosses had confirmed that they were reviewing the episode of Casualty that had been due to air on June 11.
A different story is now due to air on Saturday and will focus on Paige (Shalisha James-David) and Rash (Neet Morgan).
Sharing a trailer of what was to come this weekend, a climate change protest gets out of hand as a protester is left bleeding on the ground.
Paige then surprises Rash at work as she was supposed to be having a BRCA blood test to help determine if she has an increased case of developing cancer.
The BBC are yet to confirm whether the school shooting episode has been rescheduled or dropped completely.
It had been due to focus on an isolated Ollie (Harry Collett) and his manipulative friend Rob (Noah Valentine).
Prior to the episode being removed, the synopsis of the episode read: "David must come to terms with Ollie’s involvement in a school shooting, and a patient from Paul’s past pushes him to be honest with Robyn."
Over the last few weeks, Ollie has been led to believe that his dad David (Jason Durr), who is working as a clinical nurse manager, doesn't care for him.
From the glimpses viewers have received from the episodes, Rob appears to be controlling Ollie by turning him away from David...
