Case Dylan Baker, better known as CaseOh, did not start his creator career with a huge audience waiting for him. His early life was much more ordinary. He worked regular jobs, including full-time maintenance and grass-mowing work alongside his father in rural Arkansas. The job was not exactly easy. He later described the work as exhausting and grueling, while money was tight enough that his bank card was once declined at a Family Dollar store. The strange part is how quickly everything changed after he finally gave streaming a serious shot. His mother, Angie Baker, had already watched him play games casually and became one of his earliest supporters. She saw the humor in him and pushed him to treat streaming like a real career. He already had basic gaming gear, so Baker decided to take the gamble.

CaseOh built his first audience before he even went live
His first big move was not a Twitch stream. It was TikTok. On September 10, 2022, Baker spent hours recording and editing NBA 2K23 gameplay clips. Then he uploaded 22 videos in one day. That strategy worked almost immediately. More than 10,000 people followed him overnight.
So when he finally went live on Twitch on September 11, he was not starting from zero. Around 126 concurrent viewers were already there.
The growth kept moving at a ridiculous pace. Within weeks, his streaming income had passed what he was making from his day job. Baker then made a deal with his chat. Reach 5,000 active Twitch subscribers, and he would leave maintenance behind for good. He hit the target and became a full-time creator. His mother later quit her own job to become his business manager.
