Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was hospitalised in Las Vegas on Friday following an alleged suicide attempt before a scheduled show, while singer Brian Evans has denied threatening to release sexually explicit recordings of the comedian in exchange for $500,000.
The news came after a 3 September court filing by Thompson's lawyer, obtained by the Daily Mail. According to the filing, Evans allegedly demanded $500,000 and said a USB drive containing sexually explicit material involving Thompson would be placed in a public court file if the payment was not made.
