When Boris Johnson first got the keys to 10 Downing Street, it was his then-girlfriend Carrie Symonds who was beaming by his side.
Fast-forward three years, and the now-Mrs Johnson was once again front and centre to support her husband as he announced his resignation as leader of the Conservative Party.
Dressed in a red, knee-length tea dress, Carrie wore their nine-month-old daughter Romy strapped to her front in a trendy Baby Bjorn sling.
She stood close to Boris' closest allies, including Nadine Dorries, offering smiles and genial conversation with those who have stayed loyal.

And when Boris emerged to deliver his announcement, she clapped heartily, drawing Romy's attention to 'Daddy'.
And according to a body language expert, her behaviour spoke volumes about the current dynamic between her and Boris behind closed doors.
While expert Judi James noted that Boris was oozing bitterness from every pore as he handed his notice in, Carrie was the opposite, taking the high road and standing regally - a picture of serenity.
Judi explained: "While her husband was quite liberal with the body language signals of resentment during his speech, Carrie looked very much the more tactful and gracious option.
"Carrie offered the brave and rather gentle smiles that were not in Boris’s repertoire today."
Furthermore, Judi says her tender attempts to comfort Romy gave good insight into her deep distress for her husband as he faces what has undoubtedly been a difficult chapter.
She continued: "With her smallest child strapped to her chest she stroked its head to soothe, reassure and calm it and it was hard not to imagine her doing the same to Boris to calm him down as he copes with being thrown out of office by ‘The Westminster herd’.
"It looked as though her signals of adult calm and stoicism might help her husband over the next few difficult weeks."
